Salvation of my soul

My story

At an early age in primary 5, i gave my life to Christ. I remember that day vividly, a senior snuck me out of my primary school to a party where I was made to dance and participate in a parade that won me the award of "Miss Straight legs".

While I was still at that party the news got to my school and the school was agog!

Upon arriving back at my hostel, something came upon me (now i know it was the Holy Spirit) and convinced me of sin. Right there by my bed bunk, i gave my life to Christ that very day! And from that day, i have been in Christ!

1 John 5:11-19 KJV

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

I HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!

THAT VERY LIFE OF GOD IS INSIDE OF ME!!!

TESTIMONY OF DELIVERANCE FROM KIDNAP

This testimony of a near kidnap attempt started when I went with my driver to the Funeral of a colleague’s father in ijebu ode, Ogun state. On our way back from the funeral, I noticed my driver was acting strange, I don’t know if he was drunk or what came over him that day as he wasn’t listening to me. He drove away from the major road to a lonely path. When I asked him why he took that route he said he wanted to use a short cut to beat time, while we kept driving on that road something seemed off because it was a lonely road, we were actually the only car on it with bushes everywhere, we were on that road for a long time too

I trusted my driver because he had been with me for a year and had shown a level of expertise on the job or could it have been that I trusted people easily?. After some time the car broke down and my car was such a sturdy one that I could not remember the last time it broke down. We started trying to get it to start but it wasn’t working, looking around the lonely road we were the only there until I spotted a vehicle coming toward us. I came out and beckoned on the driver to stop.

It was a very old farmer’s vehicle with a wooden back, carrying quite a number of old looking farmers, all men, they looked at us and asked what we were doing on such a dangerous road and where we were going?, I quickly informed them that we were on our way to Lagos and they exclaimed with a very obvious shock on their faces, they told us that we were 40 minutes away from the road that leads to Lagos and they also informed us that we were moving right into a kidnapper den, they also warned us that if we don’t find our way out of that place we would be in danger.

This worrying conversation immediately prompted my memory and I remembered that before this trip, I had led a prayer in Church as instructed by my Pastor to pray against kidnap or a near attempt, he had asked us to pray for ourselves and all our family members. This was happened around the time that kidnapping was a big thing in the country, about 2 years back. With this revelation I immediately started praying in tongues. One of farmers asked that I rode with them out of that place while my driver continued to take care of the car, I thought it wise idea because my life was more important than any car and then again I was dressed in my complete party regalia.

I hopped on their vehicle a tad unsettled because I wasn’t sure if they were genuine or if I just played into the hands of the actual kidnappers or rapist. As we drove I saw that we were driving back through the road that my driver had come from, I saw some landmarks that put my mind a bit at rest. I kept praying under my breathe and in 40 mins we were at the junction, the men said that it was also dangerous to drop me off there so they took me to the garage where I could board a bus to Lagos.

At the garage I saw normal people and I knew I was out of danger but I was still skeptical about boarding a bus because of the possibility of entering the wrong one, so I chartered a vehicle that brought me right to my house in Lagos. I got home by 9pm after leaving my colleagues at the funeral at 3pm, they left by 5pm and got to Lagos by 6:30. I give God all the glory because I came back home alive and well.

TESTIMONY OF DELIVERANCE FROM ROBBERY

This Is another testimony that God gave me, I had 3 cases of armed robbery and a near Kidnap incident. It happened in South Africa, where I went on an official assignment. When we landed at the airport in South Africa, we came out of immigration and there I was waiting for my colleague to pick me up. It was about 5am in the morning when the plane landed and we were going to Randburg, a major district in Johannesburg, where the office was located first before going to the place of residence. It was a 45 minutes drive and by the time we were approaching the office area, it was 6:30am and almost bright.

So we entered the office which was a large complex and we headed straight to the reception to rest for a while before heading for our apartment. I had just returned from an official assignment from Germany, a day before this trip to SA. So my colleagues were excited to see me as I was chatting with one of them right there at the reception. We were just talking about my experience in Germany. Before I knew it 3 men armed with guns came in to the office and were asking for our money and stuffs and my colleague signaled to me that they are robbers.

I was dazed because I have never had such an experience with robbers before. The reason why we should always keep our Faith on, immediately my colleague spoke to me I was full of fear and the robbers recognized that we were afraid and they came forward tied our hands and legs as we were laying on the floor by now. So they started demanding for all our money and valuables meanwhile some of their men had taken over the gate of the complex having tied down the security too. They took our bags and all we had there and were still demanding for the keys to the car where all our belongings were but my colleague wasn’t going to give them the key so he kept telling them that someone else took the key from him. By this time I was speaking in tongues and making scriptural declarations. Prior to this time, my colleague who was with me had called a junior colleague to inform him of my arrival and he was coming downstairs to greet me.

The armed robbers heard his footsteps so they left the door open and hid behind waiting for him to come in so they could trap him in too but as God may have it he noticed that we were tied on the floor and couldn’t  speak back to him when he spoke to us. So he found it strange and started moving backwards instead of coming in. He went ahead to press the security buzzer in the complex that alerted the police with its loud sound and then the robbers fled when the noticed that they’d be In danger if they stayed any further as the police were coming. Even though they went with my passport, my bag and all the money I came into the country with, I am grateful to God because they didn’t touch a single strand of my hair, I wasn’t raped because South African robbers are known to be very terrible and viscious. So I am grateful to God for sparing my life in that incident.

My Song

What can wash away my sin
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

For my pardon, yes I see
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
For my cleansing there's my plead
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
