Celebrating yet another milestone in a life full of milestones. Pastor Shade is an achiever by default. She settles for nothing but excellence and perfection in all that she does.
Her lifestyle of excellence, perfection and achievement is contagious and rubs off on all who come in contact with her.
About Shade Adewumi (Written By Her Dad)
Age 0 to 3
Shade was born on the 23rd of August 1973 by Lawyer Olu Adewumi and Mrs B.A Adewumi of blessed memory. Her full name is Folashade Oluwatoyin Abike Omoyemi Adewumi. Contrary to children of her age group that cried, Shade was always smiling. She didn’t breast feed for a long time, instead, she was more of a formula drinking baby.
At the age of 3, she had started controlling her movements. She was already moving about with confidence, - riding a tricycle in our expansive compound at No 7 Randle Close, G.R.A Apapa, Lagos. At this age, she was enrolled in a privileged Nursery/Primary School called CORONA SCHOOL, Apapa, G.R.A Lagos
Age 3 to 6
At this age, she was already piloting her younger sister in the areas of play and mimicking etc. She was getting better in words construction. At age 6, she could already using the Gas Cooker to boil water for a few domestic purposes.
Age 7 to 21
Fashion
Her style of dressing depended on what the event was, she used creative combinations to look different but when she needed to go out, she dressed appropriately. She just liked to be stylish. Her favorite fashion accessories were her gold chain, wrist watch and shades. She loved to dress simply and conservatively at this age. She kept a small circle of friends. She really didn’t have celebrity friends, she related with them but she didn’t keep them as friends. She was very careful about the things she did. She tried not to be involved in controversial things.
Uniqueness
The Unique thing about her is the fact that she is very hard working and passionate about anything she believes in. She is also very homely. She loves God so much that she dedicated most of her life in the propagation of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. She is very intelligent too, though It seems a lot of people don’t know this.
Relaxation
Growing up, she rarely went out. She was homely. She loved staying at home, surfing the internet, watching television, eating and gisting.
Food
At her earlier years, her favorite food was toast bread but now as an adult, her favorite is Beans and Plantain.
Fruits
Her favorite fruit is watermelon.
Early Years
In her Early years, she was really shy. Thoughts that she was good enough was a recurring theme for her. It took her a while to break out of that state of mind but even so, I think she needs to stop shying away from showcasing all her gifts cos she is very gifted adult.
Moments
Her fondest moments are when she is around her loved ones, including family and friends.
Hobbies
She likes singing and dancing, she loves making new friends, going to parties and going for shopping. She practically sings all the time, and I want to recommend that she should consider putting “materials” out there. She also loves fashion, she’s got a great fashion sense. She is very adventurous and loves travelling. She practically loves enjoying her life. She has travelled to several countries around the world amongst which are the United Kingdom, United States of America, South Africa, Ghana, Isreal, India to mention a few. But the first country She traveled to was Germany.
She is a woman of prayers. She spends time to pray a lot and she loves to worship the Lord. She has great love for children. It’s amazing how children and young people gravitates towards her.
Colours
She loves bright colors but her favorite color is Peach.
Her Perception about Life Challenges
In terms of life challenges, she always tells herself everything will be fine and that always made such a difference and this is why she made the song “JISike” to encourage people going through tough times that everything will be okay. When one has that kind of mindset, one can get through anything in life.

4. Federal Government Girls College, Akure (FEGICCOLA)
5. Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), where she obtained Bachelor in Technology in Computer Science in the year 1997
